FACTA 2022 Terms & Conditions
Registration Cancellation Policy
Deadline: Monday 14 February 2022
Cancellations must be notified by e-mail to the Conference Secretariat. Cancellations made by Monday 14 February 2022 will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by Monday 14 February 2022 without incurring any cost penalty. The Conference Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers. The Organising Committee reserves final decision on a case by case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances.
In the event of the cancellation of the Conference, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full.
State Borders Closed
In the event that the state borders are closed between Saturday 9 April - Thursday 14 April 2022, from your departing city to Queensland and you are therefore unable to attend the Conference, a full refund will be offered for the value of your registration inclusive of any social function tickets.
Should Australian Federal &/or State Governments make a decision relating to COVID-19 gatherings, closure of borders and travel restrictions, a full refund of all accommodation deposits and payments is available, if the cancellation is made up to five days prior to arrival. If the cancellation occurs within five days to arrival, the monies held will be used for future bookings.
In the event of a postponement all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new Conference dates. All components of your registration including accommodation bookings and social function tickets will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Conference Secretariat to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost, or request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $150 administration fee up until the Registration Cancellation Deadline.
In registering for this Conference relevant details (name/country) will be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates, and also may be made available (if necessary) to parties directly related to the Conference including venues, accommodation providers, sponsors, key suppliers and future conferences. Your name and contact information may be used by the Conference Secretariat and other approved stakeholder, for marketing and managing this and future events of this type.
Deadline: Monday 7 March 2022
Accommodation booked through the Conference Secretariat can be cancelled before 7 March 2022 with no penalty.
Participants who confirm an accommodation booking with a credit card or full pre-payment and who wish to cancel on or after 7 March 2022 are liable for the full cost of their accommodation nights cancelled. To cancel your reservation, please contact The Accommodation Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org. Name changes to a reservation can be made at no charge.
Change of Booking
Any change in booking must be made in writing to The Accommodation Manager and NOT directly to the hotel before 7 March 2022. Any changes received after 7 March 2022 will be at the hotels discretion and based on availability.
As check in at most hotels is not until 1400, it is possible that your room may not be ready for immediate occupation on your early arrival. Whilst hotels will do everything possible to accommodate early arrivals, if you wish to be guaranteed immediate occupation you can pay an extra day’s tariff for the night before you are due to arrive. If you wish to take this precaution, please advise the Accommodation Manager on the registration form so we can notify the hotel that your room is required early.
No Show Policy
In the event of a “No Show” on the date of arrival, full cancellation penalties apply to all nights of the stay.
